Why We Do It This Way
Between us, Zac and Jacksen have spent the better part of 15 years in this trade. We've both worked for bigger outfits where the pressure was always to get through more jobs faster. That culture has a cost. Pinched ductwork. Undersized units. Systems that work on day one but fall apart by year two.
We started Canberra Climate Control in 2021 because we wanted to do the job properly. Not as a marketing line. As a daily way of working. We wanted to finish a job and feel proud of it. To know the customer isn't going to have a problem because of something we rushed or ignored.
That's still the whole point.

In a lot of HVAC businesses, the person who sells you the job never touches a tool. A sales consultant comes out, quotes up, and hands it to an install team they've barely met.
By the time the job is done, the customer has dealt with three different people, and when something isn't right, nobody quite owns it.
If you call with a question after the job, you're talking to Zac or Jacksen. There's no layer between what we promise and what gets delivered.

The Bit That Doesn't Go on the Quote
There's a version of air conditioning work that involves turning up, completing the technical scope, and leaving. Technically correct. Nothing wrong. Nothing remarkable.
Then there's the version where you notice the elderly customer's gutters are full and spend ten minutes cleaning them out before you go. Where you patch a small gap in the ceiling you didn't create, because it looks tidy. Where you pat the dog, have a proper yarn, and follow up three days later to make sure everything's running right.
That's what we mean by the extra 1%. It's not a policy. It's how we were raised to work. And it's what customers remember most.

We've Seen What Happens When It's Wrong
One of the most common problems in residential air conditioning is an undersized system. It's also one of the most preventable. A system that's too small runs constantly trying to hit a temperature it can never reach. It uses more power. It wears out faster. The customer never gets the comfort they paid for. We've pulled apart enough of these to know the signs. This is what undersizing actually looks like in a real home.
We won't install an undersized system. Not if the customer supplies their own unit, not if it means losing the job to someone who will. We've seen the fallout too many times and we're not interested in being responsible for it.
Every install starts with a proper assessment: room dimensions, insulation, window orientation, ceiling height, and how the household actually uses the space. The system we recommend is the system the home actually needs. It's the same method behind our
ducted installation process.

Canberra Climate Control is certified by the Australian Refrigeration Council, showing compliance with national standards for refrigerant handling. Not every operator displays this. We do.

We hold current Public Liability Insurance with Allinsure, protecting you and your property for the duration of every job.
Workers Compensation Insurance
All work carried out on your property is covered by Workers Compensation Insurance.

We won't recommend a brand we'd be uncomfortable standing behind.
